Information for Authors

Information about submitting articles

To make sure that the publication of your text is as efficient as possible, please read our guidelines on preferred style for manuscripts submitted to Psychologia Rozwojowa.

A precondition for the publication of your manuscript is its reference to developmental issues, which may be twofold. Firstly, an article may simply present research or theories related to developmental changes. Secondly, if direct references to developmental issues are absent, the implications of presented research or theories for the knowledge on human development should be stated.

Copyrights

Ensure that any individual contributions to the publication as well as all the institutional affiliations are provided. Both the cases of so called ghostwriting and guest/honorary authorship are regarded as violation of academic standards. Therefore in order to maintain high academic and editorial standards, before publication the authors are invited to complete copyright license form.

ORCID

We encourage all authors and co-authors publishing articles in "Psychologia Rozwojowa" to register for an ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID). ORCID is a registry of unique identifiers for researchers and scholars that is open, transparent, mobile and serves the univocal identification of the authors and their publications. Free registration can be done at: ORCID platform

Preparation of the manuscript

Prepare the manuscript in a standard way: double-spaced, font size -12 points, about 1800 characters per page, and do not exceed 36 000 characters and spaces. Submit the manuscript in an electronic format as files in Microsoft Word or RTF. Tables and figures should be supplied in separate files compatible with the above formats.

For research reports use standard sections introduced by the following headings and indentations in the text: Introduction, Problem (research question or hypothesis), Method and Materials (study participants, measures, procedure), Results and Discussion. Present footnotes and references in numerical order on separate pages after the main body of the text. Supply illustrative material (figures with captions, tables with titles) in separate files.

Ensure that the exact names of research techniques and methods are specified and in the case of a term adapted from English (or other foreign languages) provide the name in its original language version.

Statistics

Confirm that the names of statistical tests are supplied. Provide all the necessary parameters according to the applied technique. Numerical results, for example a level of statistical significance, is written as .05 (not 0.05).

Abstract

Your abstract should be a double-spaced single paragraph written both in English and Polish. It should be between 600 and 900 characters and should also include up to five keywords from your paper. Make sure that your abstract is supplied in separate files.

Personal data

Ensure that the information about the author is presented on the title page in the following order: the author’s name, institutional affiliation, and a city (e.g., Anne Smith, Institute of Psychology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań). The address for correspondence includes an email address and a telephone number.

Reference list

Your reference list should appear at the end of your paper. Reference list entries should be alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each work. In the case of many references by the same author use chronological order i.e., by the year of publication, starting with the earliest.

In the text, provide references by giving the author's last name and the year of publication. If you cite for the first time the work that has many authors, provide last names of all the authors, and in the next citation only the name of the first author. If the author’s work is cited in the text for the first time, provide the author’s full name but in the next citation supply the first letter of the first name and the last name.
