About the journal. Aims and Scope

Developmental Psychology

Psychologia Rozwojowa (formerly known as Kwartalnik Polskiej Psychologii Rozwojowej) is the only Polish journal dealing with human developmental issues. It began publication in 1993 on the initiative of the psychologists who were engaged in research into human development associated with the Section of Developmental Psychology of the Polish Psychological Association.

The journal provides a forum for sharing information and experience both in the field of developmental research and practices that are related to the psychological diagnosis and support for development. It invites contributions not only from psychologists, but also from representatives of other disciplines engaged in research on human development: anthropologists, philosophers, physicians or educators. Such an open formula allows an interdisciplinary reflection on the issues of human development.

Psychologia Rozwojowa
provides opportunities to present theoretical discussion on developmental issues, synthetic overviews of research on selected topics, results of empirical studies, as well as reviews of selected publications on development, and reports on important congresses and conferences on human development. The contributions present the development of man across his life span, i.e., from a prenatal period to old age and they refer to both normal development and developmental disorders. Set in a Polish socio-cultural context, they enrich the knowledge on human development presented in international journals.

The journal publishes four issues a year. Some issues focus on a specific topic providing a comprehensive overview of selected problems of human development. Each manuscript is doubleblind peer reviewed.

Psychologia Rozwojowa
presents current knowledge on human development and constitutes a valuable complement to academic textbooks. Therefore we recommend it not only to researchers in the field, but also to practitioners in psychology and education as well as to students of psychology, education or medicine.
