Licensing, copyright and archiving

License

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. 
 
 
Since 2022 articles published in "Studies in Polish Linguistics" are available under a licence Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Read more about the license CC BY 4.0: license overviewLegal Code.
 
 
The articles published in issues 12 (1) 2017 – 16 (4) 2021 of "Studies in Polish Linguistics" are available under a licence Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This change was made in 2019.

Copyright

Since Issue 17 (1) 2022 journal allow authors to retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions. Authors grants the publisher the non-exclusive unlimited license to the Work for the multiple release and distribution.

Before 2022 authors transferred copyright to the Publisher.

Archiving policy

All texts from the journal are published in electronic version. We strive to index full-text files in various databases.


The Jagiellonian University practices a "Open Access Policy to scholarly publications and research data of employees, doctoral students, and students of the Jagiellonian University", creating conditions for sharing scientific publications and research data of employees and doctoral students of the Jagiellonian University.


The purpose of the open access policy is to make the results of scientific research available openly and free of charge for all users, at the time chosen by the user, without technical restrictions. Articles published in the journal are archived at the Repository of the Jagiellonian University.

The journal is digitally archived in the POLONA- National Digital Library of Poland and Academica (online interlibrary system).

Self-Archiving Policy

Articles published since Issue 17 (1) 2022:
Since issue149 (2) 2022 the Authors may self-archive a) the published version of the text and/or b) postprint version (peer-reviewed final electronic version of the publication accepted/approved by the Publisher for publication).

 
Articles published before 2017:
In order to self-archive your article published before 2017 you must first submit your inquiry for the Publisher's consent to self-archiving . Please contatc us at: zgody@wuj.pl

 
Articles from isues 12 (1) 2017 – 16 (4) 2021:
Scientific publications published in issues 12 (1) 2017 – 16 (4) 2021 of "Studies in Polish Linguistics" are licensed under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which means that the Works can be copied and redistributed in any medium or format under specific terms. 

Research Data Management Policy

The Editorial Office supports and implements the Open Access Policy to scholarly publications and research data of employees, doctoral students, and students of the Jagiellonian University.


We encourage authors to archive research data in open research data repositories. Authors are encouraged to correctly cite the research data in their publications, in particular to include the DOI number or another identifier of the research data.
