Declaration of immediate suspension of cooperation with Department of Financial Law Faculty of Law at the State University of Voronezh

Information

In connection with the resumption of Russia's aggression against the sovereign, independent and peaceful Ukrainian state, following the escalation of the conflict by Vladimir Putin and the bestial and murderous attack by the Russian armed forces on Ukraine, I would like to inform you that in 7 March 2022, our Editorial Board, in agreement with our Foreign Partners, has decided to immediately suspend our cooperation on the basis of the Agreement on cooperation at publication of a scientific journal Financial Law Review, signed on 18 June 2018.

This totally unacceptable and violative of all legal and ethical standards attack by Russia on Ukraine makes academic cooperation at any level impossible with the scientific institutions of a country that consistently shows a lack of any respect for fundamental values and norms, the principles of international law, human rights and state sovereignty.

Since we are convinced that sanctions and retaliatory actions by the free world must affect the widest possible part of Russian society, we believe that the academic staff and students of the University of Voronezh are the ones who should condemn such aggression and put pressure on the Russian authorities to force an immediate end to these tragic aggressive war actions.

At the same time, we declare that we are ready to renew our cooperation once the dictator Putin and the regime he embodies have been removed from power and Russian troops have been withdrawn from all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea.
