FAQ

Procedures for external peer review

Description of the procedure

Submitted articles and source publications are formally assessed by the editors repsonsible for individual issues of the journal "Rocznik Przemyski. Historia".

  1. Two independent reviewers are appointed to evaluate each submitted text.. The editorial staff selects reviewers who are the most competent in a given field.

  2. The review is carried out based on the double-blind review process model in which authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept secret from each other (the so-called "double-blind review process").

  3. Reviews shall be made in writing and shall end with an unequivocal conclusion as to whether the article should be accepted for publication or rejected.

  4. The authors are informed about the results of the reviews and receive them for review.

  5. The list of reviewers is published in each issue of the "Rocznik Przemyski. Historia" journal and on the website.

  6. In the case of texts written in a foreign language, the Editorial Board will, within its modest possibilities, make efforts to ensure that at least one of its Reviewers is affiliated with a foreign institution other than the nationality of the author of the work.

  7. Article reviews are prepared according to the prepared Review form.
