Unless commissioned, papers submitted to ORGANON and recognized by the Editor as relevant to the journal’s scope are sent to at least two external referees for double-blind peer review.
The reviewersare asked to:
- prepare the evaluation in written using at the minimum the review form provided by ORGANON;
- evaluate the paper with respect to its general interest to the readership, contribution to knowledge, clarity of presentation,and overall quality;
- recommend explicitly acceptance, conditioned acceptance (major or minor revisionsin which case suggest prospectivechanges) or rejection of the paper,
- prepare their reviews within two months.
An article assessed as needing major revisions will be resubmitted for second evaluation.
ORGANON aims to give authors notification of acceptance, conditioned acceptance or rejection within 3 months. Accepted papers are expected to be published within 12 months.
Names of contributing referees are published at the ORGANON website annually, by the end of the year.
