Aims and Scope

Our mission

The peer-reviewed international journal Organon was established in 1936. It publishes contributions in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish in the field of history and philosophy of science. It originally focussed on contributions to science and discovery made by Polish scholars, but this is no longer the case, having an international perspective. The journal's scope has also evolved and today includes, for example, the history of specific disciplines of science and the humanities, the history of education, the transfer of knowledge, heritage studies and museology. Organon accepts original articles that provide either a synthesis or a  forensic analysis of ideas. Although the journal does not publish reviews, it welcomes critical arguments and opinion pieces.
