Notes for authors

Requirements for Authors

The Editorial team accepts synthetic, source, bibliographic, or analytical articles that were never before published and contain the author’s own reflections and conclusions.


The length of the sent article should not exceed 40,000 characters with spaces and footnotes (ca. 20 pages).


Please send the article in one copy, together with a summary, no longer than 0,5 – 1 page (both in Polish, as well as in English).


Please also include the title of the article in the English summary.


The article itself (as well as a copy of it on a CD-ROM), together with all the additional documents (see below) should be sent to the Editorial team’s con-tact address. It is also possible to send the article, together with a complete set of other documents, via e-mail to: medycynanowozytna@ihnpan.pl

 

Required documents:

  1. The author’s declaration that the article has not been submitted anywhere else;
  2. Consent for the author’s personal details to be published;
  3. A short biographical note on the author, including: education, profession, the academic institution they represent, research interests;
  4. The author’s contact address and e-mail address for correspondence;
  5. The bibliography of the article in a separate file.
Any articles that are not accepted by the team are not returned.


Article requirements: 

  • Submitted articles should be using the Times New Roman font, size 12 p., lead-ing 1.5.

  • Any footnotes should appear on the page they refer to.

  • When quoting any work from magazines, please use the following format: ini-tial of the first name of the author, author’s surname, title of the article (in ital-ics), title of the publication (in quotation marks), year of publication, volume, no. or book no., page to which the quotation refers to. When it comes to books, use the following format: initial of the author’s first name, the author’s sur-name, title (in italics), publishing house, place and year of publication, page numbers.

  • The source for any and all illustrations should be provided (below the illustra-tion itself). Illustrations should also come with information on where exactly in the article they are to be inserted.

  • If the article is sent on a CD-ROM, photos and illustrations should be sent in a separate file, together with their numeration and description.
