Aikaterini Lefka obtained her first University diploma in Philosophy and Classics at the University of Athens; her MPhil and PhD in Philosophy and Letters, on the relations between religion and philosophy in Plato, at the Univer- sity of Liège. After a first post-doctoral research at the University of Luxem- bourg on the notion of eudaimonia in the Presocratics and Plato, a second research compared the ancient and the modern theories on the good life of the citizen in a European democracy. She has undertaken actually a third, interdisci- plinary research, European Union Values, their Reception and the Citizen’s Well-being, as a scientific collaborator at the European Studies Unit of the University of Liège.

Being a lecturer for 16 years at the same institution, she was invited to deliver courses at many other universities and participated in seminars as well as in national, international and world conferences. In parallel, she has been teaching since 1999 subjects of her philosophical and philological competences at the European School Brussels III, in Greek, French and English.

She is the author of the books: “Compatriotes du soleil”. Éléments diachro- niques de la pensée grecque (Liège 2008), “Tout est plein de dieux”. Les divini- tés traditionnelles dans l'oeuvre de Platon. Du rapport entre religion et philoso- phie (Paris 2013), ΕΝΘΕΟΙ. Βίοι Αρχαίων Ελλήνων. Διηγήματα / INSPIRÉS. Vies helléniques. Nouvelles (Thessaloniki & Paris 2019). Οther books are under preparation. She published numerous articles in various languages and contrib- uted in the editorial preparation of philosophical collective works.

She is member, often administrator and founder, of international scientific and cultural associations. Since 2020 she is Ambassador of the Hellenic Insti- tute of Cultural Diplomacy in Belgium.
