The article is the subject of Bicmarckhütte industrial complex (now Batory) in Chorzow-Batory in Upper Silesia. It presents both the history of the development of the system, its composition, and above all the composed green areas. Based on an analysis of change and its current status has been determined her rank, both past and contemporary, for the development of the socio-cultural landscape of this industrial area.

The paper discusses the subject of the introduction of modern forms into spaces of a historical character, mainly into historical gardens. Its aim is to present the general tendencies, causes and scope of the introduction of modern art into these types of interiors, the problem of their interference with historical tissue, its scope and goal, along with an outline of general guidelines for these types of projects.

The paper will discuss urgent and topical problems that affect historical areas of urban open space. Its main goal will be the identification of phenomena which take place within it, and which mainly affect its natural tissue. The article will also contain such aspects as: an analysis of modern trends in revalorisation and the effects of its impact, an analysis of possible preventive measures that can be taken, as well as an evaluation of the influence of environmental factors on the condition of individual types of greenery.

The article is about industrial greenery – part of establishment of Donnersmarckhütte in Zabrze. They will be characterized relating to analysis of the urban planning integrity, their function and the landscape of the industrial city which they contributed. Passed dissertations are aimed at determining the greenery significance in his spatial-functional structure, both before and in our times, with particular reference to of aspects of threats of the landscape composition.

The article presents the genesis of the development of urban parks in Upper Silesia in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. On this basis and on the basis of analysis of the preservation status of these areas, elements of place identity were defined which are the most appropriate for application in restoration processes or remediation of these areas.

This article is devoted to the topic of garden houses, characteristic of buildings in garden architecture in many epochs. In the 19th century, owing to the creator of German culture, they assumed a characteristic form, becoming part of the design trends of that time. The main considerations will include their characteristics, the importance and value in creating 19th-century cultural landscapes against the conditions connected with the gardener’s occupation.

The article covers issues relating to the19th-century buildings which accompanied the park complex, called the gardener’s house. They presented the most important contemporary trends in the formation of residential-park complexes, as well as examples of preserved objects in the former rejencja opolska. It also presents the form, present values, and opportunities for adapting them.
