https://doi.org/10.4467/25438700SM.18.032.9197Building management systems are a part of the subject of smart homes, which are automated buildings based on a combination of three types of components: sensors, controlling devices and computation units. Artificial intelligence algorithms will be able to predict our needs based on our behaviours coupled with information gathered from sensors and determine the actions needed to satisfy them by themselves.
It is a manifestation of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence algorithms that are being developed on an increasingly large scale in areas associated with the prediction of needs and behaviours indicate a similar path of development for BMS as well. This will also be aided by the ability to verbally communicate with building automation systems, which is going to be a natural manner of communicating with the user. The observations listed above can be transferred to the field of studying human behaviours. The commercial application of artificial intelligence is predicted to be positively received. The consequences of evolution understood in this manner is speculation concerning the point in which abstract thinking will find itself within reach of artificial intelligence.

A great nuisance for all contemporary agglomerations is the problem of the growing street traffic. Owing to the specificity of the dynamics of traffic, attempts at taming it can be undertaken, consisting in logistics programming, that is in managing traffic participants so as to reduce their density and liquidate ‘empty rides’. And this is the field of action for smart technologies (smart solutions).

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.15.067.3867The paper presents the topic of work of modern architects, which is set in a wide historical context, which in turn allows to join cultural heritage with the present and the future. Defining the method is superior in relation to the subsequent choice of parameters. The definition itself is not sufficient to render the method of wise continuation possible to implement, detailed hints are necessary – the choice of correct parameters which can subsequently be used in the research. They are: relating to historical context (including the respect for history) and creation of frameworks for future reshaping of space – the category of time; relating the size to the neighbourhood – in terms of size and the “order of elevation” – the category of scale; relation to psychosomatic needs of the user – the category of prestige and comfort; susceptibility of space to cultural activities outside architecture, according to the rule that states that flexibility of space allows the imagination to work with free artistic creation. The Rockefeller Center is one of the greatest realizations of monumental architecture, whose construction required the efforts of a substantial and very talented group of people (architects, construction engineers and fitters, financiers etc.). It can be said that it is a work of art devoid of an artist, an example of “committee architecture”.

https://doi.org/10.4467/00000000PUA.17.005.7123The most interesting for a real estate market researcher is influence of money on transformation of districts located outside of the city center. What is the reason of the transformation of these neglecteddistricts? Observations made in the NY area of Red Hook will help to understand the mechanisms behind the choice of location for living. During last 8 years, prices of apartments in Red Hook have risen several times. Development of city needs excess money that could be invested into the project that generate profit. This is the phenomenon of accumulating attractiveness of the place together with activation of the price „igniter”. Therefore, the theory that speculation is the main reason for the increase in property value seems reasonable and possible to prove.

https://doi.org/10.4467/25438700SM.18.055.9645Rainwater management systems are mainly dependant on geological conditions, shape of the catchment and the legal regulations. Basic documentat necessary to get before start of constuction is water law agreement (aquatic consent). It can be compared to building permit for the operation of the building. The scope of duties and competences resulting from this document is very extensive. In the Water Law Act the basic document is water law agreement (aquatic consent). The only exception is drainage of rainwater in the tight evaporation water tank, which does not require administrative proceedings. It should be proceeded by obtaining the appropriate administrative decisions. The problem is that such cases are not always examined positively.
