The tasks of the scientific board include:
- Ensuring a good reputation of the journal and its recognition in Poland and abroad.
- Enforcing the ethical principles and informing the editor-in-chief of any detected violations of scientific integrity.
- Providing expert opinion on manuscripts in conflicting situations.
The tasks of the editor-in-chief include:
- Supervising the work of the editorial team.
- Cooperating with members of the scientific board.
- Supervising the choice of reviewers.
- Determining the order of publications.
- Enforcing the ethical principles and scientific standards of the journal.
- Intervening in cases of suspected violation of ethical rules by authors or reviewers. Such intervention may include: canceling the publication of the manuscript and notifying the relevant affiliated entity (as indicated by the author or reviewer) of the suspicion of scientific dishonesty.
The tasks of section editors include:
- Initial evaluation of the content and linguistic quality of manuscripts.
- Sharing their opinion on the scientific value of the text with the editorial team.
- Consulting the choice of reviewers with the associate editor.
- Inviting authors.
The tasks of the associate editor include:
- Analyzing the received manuscripts and the relevant opinions of section editors.
- Reaching out to prospective reviewers, obtaining consent to review, sending manuscripts for review, and handling day-to-day correspondence with reviewers.
- Forwarding the received reviews to the managing editor, and acting as an intermediary in the correspondence between the author and reviewers in conflicting situations.
- Consulting the editor-in-chief, language editors, and section editors regarding content and linguistic issues.
- Accepting proofread and edited manuscripts and forwarding them to the managing editor.
- Final verification of corrected manuscripts upon receipt from the managing editor and submitting the final set of manuscripts for publication.
- Registering subsequent issues of the journal in national and international scientific databases.
- Handling correspondence with foreign authors.
The tasks of the managing editor include:
- Handling day-to-day correspondence.
- Notifying the authors of the decisions of the editorial board (rejection of the manuscript or acceptance for further processing).
- Checking the compliance of manuscripts with editorial requirements. Handling day-to-day correspondence with authors on those matters.
- Forwarding reviews to authors and monitoring responses. In conflicting situations, forwarding authors’ comments to the associate editor.
- Receiving proofread and edited manuscripts from the associate editor and forwarding them to authors for corrections.
- Maintaining a database of submitted manuscripts. Archiving materials.
- Sending copies of the journal to authors, reviewers, and members of the scientific board.
