Functions for each hydraulic cylinder components were identified as well as a pairs for interacting components. Also potential failures were defined. Using the principle of matrices similarity the rank of hydraulic component due to performed functions has been prepared.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.17.141.6892The paper presents an identification of potential causes and effects of failures of a coolant pump for internal combustion engines. Ishikawa's quality improvement tools have been used to analyze the defects. The main causes of pump failures and cause-effect relationships have been identified. The main causes were identified and classified in order to select those which have the greatest influence on pump damage during operation.

This paper presents Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on the hydraulic cylinder using matrix analysis and artificial neural network. Functions for each cylinder components were identified. Also relationships between pairs for interacting components and their potential failures where identified. Training and testing of an artificial neural network was conducted in MATLAB software environment.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.14.044.2494This paper presents an FMEA analysis of turbochargers for combustion engines by the use of the similarity method and dependency diagrams. Typical functions of selected components of turbochargers were defined and the dependency between them identified. Potential failures that may appear during operation have also been defined. Using the principle of similarity, potential failures have been defined and classified.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.17.179.7287This paper presents an application of matrix FMEA analysis and cause-effect diagram for a double acting hydraulic cylinder. A decomposition of the investigated cylinder has been made and main functions and potential failures for the pair-function relation have been identified. Elements with the greatest probability of failure and cause-effect relationship have been determined.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.17.157.7169The paper presents an analysis of the usability of a selected web site using the QFD quality method. User requirements and related technical parameters used for creating diagrams of similarities and dependencies have been identified. Diagrams showing user and technical benchmarking as well as graphs of target values evaluated for user requirements and technical parameters were created.
