Biografia

Bartosz Dondelewski is a Graduate in Spanish Philology from the Jagiellonian University, postgraduate studies at the UNESCO Chair in Translation and Intercultural Communication Studies (UJ). He received his PhD for his thesis “La identidad y el cambio en A Fala de Xálima” (UJ, 2020). His research interests focus on the sociolinguistics and dialectology of the Iberian Peninsula and migration studies. He is particularly interested in minority languages and the ideological and identity dynamics present in the communities that speak them. He has written about Galician, the speech of Xálima, Judeo-Spanish, Cape Verdean and Aragonese. He is also a member of the International Association of Galician Studies and the Otra Iberia research group (University of Warsaw), which works on the minoritised languages, literatures and cultures of the Iberian Peninsula. He is the editorial secretary of the scientific journal “Studia Iberica” (UJ).
