Mission and objectives of the journal

International Business and Global Economy mission

The Institute of International Business has been publishing its scientific journal for a long period of time, which is inextricably linked with its tradition and history. The first issue dates back to the year 1973. The editor-in-chief of the first five issues from 1973 to 1980 was prof. Zenon Kamiński. Then, his function was overtaken by prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider who performed her editorial duties from 1982 to 1993. In 1997, after a short break, the publishing process was resumed and prof. Hanna Treder was the editor-in-chief till 2011. In 2012, Dr Urszula Mrzygłód became a new editor-in-chief. Currently, this function is performed by Dr Katarzyna Bałandynowicz-Panfil. Since 2013 there is a new name of the journal – the International Business and Global Economy (previously: Working Papers of the Institute of International Business University of Gdansk).

The journal's profile refers to the problems of the contemporary world economy. The issues raised in the articles concentrate on the international market development, organization and management of business processes and financial market performance.

The journal contains scientific articles written by the academicians employed in the Institute of International Business and the authors representing numerous Polish and foreign academic centers. As the editorial board, we are open to new articles presenting research results within the scope of our journal's profile. We kindly encourage individual authors and academic centers to cooperate with us.
