Two cases are analyzed. The first, when components of stress tensor are in phase, and the second, when they are shifted in phase. The second case is associated with the practical application for the crane wheel.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.15.170.4375This paper discusses the problem of the existence of torsional natural modes in the low frequency range for a beam with a rectangular cross-section with different ratios between width and height and different lengths. The rectangular type of cross-section is chosen because of practical applications to describe the vibrations of some turbine blades. The analyses were conducted by applying an analytical model, but were verified using the finite element method.

It is not easy to realize the measurement of the process. The application of the parameter of entropy, which is well-known is physics, is one idea of parametrization. In the machinery industry, product diversification is connected with different consumers representing factories from different machinery sectors: mining, steel, building, agricultural and food. The possibility of estimation of the production diversification in the machinery industry by the application of the entropy-based parameters is discussed in the paper.
