The aim of the paper is to present the issue of using computer-aided methods as well as 3D printing technologies and not typical materials connected with it. Selected problems that can occur while applying computer-aided methods and their solutions have also been described.

The system has been constructed using program Delphi 7 Enterprise in Object Pascal. The system includes three types of means of transport, a car, a rail bus and a working machine.

The paper compares the theoretical non–dimensional steady–state characteristics of a hydrodynamic
torque converter with the experimental ones. The theoretical characteristics were calculated numerically based on two flow models: a one–dimensional model created by the authors and a three–dimensional model prepared by means of the ANSYS CFX software. The experimental characteristics were obtained on the basis of test rig investigations.
