This paper presents CFD simulation of solid particle transport by jet pump. Simulation was conducted using Lagrangian-Eulerian CFD approach. There is presented simulation of transport of mixture of water and solid particles with various density by jet pump with annular motive nozzle. The CFD simulations allowed to obtain trajectory for individual particles as well as theirs maximal velocity.

Tidal energy might be extracted in a very similar way as the wind one by using turbines. However, due to
environmental conditions, unsteady nature of tidal currents and wave activity, tidal turbines have to fulfill
very demanding requirements. Such turbines might be structurally similar to wind turbines, but due to a different medium, the key issue is extracting tidal energy in the most effective way. This paper presents a way in which CFD tools may be used for selecting hydrofoil for tidal turbines.

Energy from tidal currents may be extracted in a similar way as wind energy but tidal turbines have to meet much higher requirements. Cavitation phenomena, which are difficult to predict, have great influence on hydrodynamic efficiency. This paper presents the use of CFD simulation for prediction of cavitation during flow over typical NACA airfoils.

On example of cover for AED training device there was presented in what way the prototype is made. Cad model created in PTC/Creo is ready to be printed using any of available RP technology.
