The paper presents a method of data acquisition from a DAQ card using a direct memory access (DMA) and an asynchronous read of data buffer with the FIFO queue. The method can be used to acquire measurement data in Windows™ system when the required read frequency is higher than the system’s clock frequency. The method was used in practice to measure high-speed pressure and position changes in a two cylinder hydraulic system with two-state fast switching valves.

The main advantages of proposed system are to increase safety and reduce the operating costs of the station. On the basis of preliminary analysis the main functional modules of the system have been distinguished. The modules include: vaporization control unit, subsystem for monitoring parameters in the cryogenic tank and installation, central database server, data visualization module, diagnostic subsystem and module for LNG supplies optimization. The system has been used for investigating a real supply station.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.17.180.7288The paper addresses modelling, simulation and experimental research of a pneumatic cushion. The scope of work included formulating a mathematical model based on air flow equations, building simulation model, carrying out simulations and comparing simulation results with experiments. The simulations were performed in Matlab-Simulink system, while experiments were carried out on a test bench, by means of a real industrial pneumatic cushion. The comparison of the results indicates that the created simulation model is accurate and flexible, and thus can be used in further research which concerns e.g. geometrical modifications or optimization of air consumption.

The paper presents results of laboratory tests of linear guides in the application to move heavy loads. The first phase of the work included construction of a test bench in the form of a steel frame running on profiled rails using HIWIN type blocks. Subsequently, investigations involving movement of the frame with various loads were performed. In each case a driving force of an operator was measured. Based on the obtained results, average values of the resistance to motion coefficients were estimated.
