https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.15.029.3829This paper presents an analysis of the influence of utilizing rotor materials of different magnetization and conductivity on steady-state torque-speed characteristics for a high-speed eddy-current brake. The analysis involves rotors of different active lengths, with or without axial slits and a copper layer on the surface. The calculations were carried out using two and three-dimensional numerical models, partially verified on the laboratory test-stand.
