Cultivating memory places on the examples of cemeteries in Głogówek
Issues relating to the shaping, care and protection of cemeteries are a multi-faceted issue due to the specificity of this type of space. In particular, it is a difficult subject for deserted bands located on the territory of the cultural and national borderland. The article will present two cemeteries, Jewish and Evangelical, created in the 19th century in the area of the modern boundaries of the village of Głogówek in Upper Silesia. These will be compared in order to determine their state of preservation, contemporary cultural reception, value indications and methods of protection. Selected teams, which are now closed, are characterised by a comparable period of their establishment, their location, and their similar surface area. Generally, in the case of both of the cemeteries in the region, there are no churches of denominations in question.

Streszczenie

Problematyka dotycząca kształtowania, pielęgnacji, a także ochrony cmentarzy z uwagi na specyfikę tego typu przestrzeni stanowi wieloaspektowe zagadnienie. W szczególności jest to temat trudny względem opuszczonych zespołów, znajdujących się na terenach pogranicza kulturowo-narodowościowego. W artykule przedstawione zostaną dwa cmentarze, żydowski oraz ewangelicki, powstałe w XIX wieku w obszarze współczesnych granic miejscowości Głogówek na terenie Górnego Śląska. Zostaną one poddane porównaniu w celu określenia stanu ich zachowania, współczesnego odbioru pod względem kulturowym, wskazania wartości oraz sposobów ochrony. Wybrane zespoły, współcześnie już nieczynne, cechuje porównywalny okres ich założenia, lokalizacja, zbliżona powierzchnia. Zasadniczo także w obu przypadkach w okolicy nie ma już kościołów kultywujących omawiane wyznania

This article addresses issues regarding the protection of the landscape-nature complex in Lipno, which is a remnant of the former deerpark belonging to the princes of Niemodlin. Presented here are both the changes taking place in this specific garden complex, as well as the present state. Also included are the current natural and cultural dangers affecting further changes taking place in it.

This article is devoted to the topic of garden houses, characteristic of buildings in garden architecture in many epochs. In the 19th century, owing to the creator of German culture, they assumed a characteristic form, becoming part of the design trends of that time. The main considerations will include their characteristics, the importance and value in creating 19th-century cultural landscapes against the conditions connected with the gardener’s occupation.

The article covers issues relating to the19th-century buildings which accompanied the park complex, called the gardener’s house. They presented the most important contemporary trends in the formation of residential-park complexes, as well as examples of preserved objects in the former rejencja opolska. It also presents the form, present values, and opportunities for adapting them.

Tematem niniejszego artykuł jest kompleks przemysłowy Bicmarckhütte (obecnie Batory) w Chorzowie-Batorym na Górnym Śląsku. Zaprezentowano w nim zarówno historię rozwoju układu, jego kompozycję, jak też przede wszystkim obszary zieleni komponowanej. W oparciu o analizę przemian i stan obecny określona została jego ranga, zarówno dawniej, jak i współcześnie, w kształtowaniu krajobrazu społeczno-kulturowego tego ośrodka przemysłowego.
