https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.16.100.5499The article describes the structure and operation of virtual one-dimensional dynamic model of the solar heating system using components from the libraries of the EcosimPro program. The model is based on a fragment of a real hybrid sorption-compressor refrigeration system, designed and built in the Laboratory of Thermodynamics and Thermal Machines Measurements at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology. In the second part of the paper, the results of the dynamic simulation are shown along with their comparison to the actual measurement data recorded during one day (and night).

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.15.271.4674The paper presents the results of simulations of the flow of slurry ice through a control valve. The study focused on a HERZ Strömax-M DN20 control valve. The mass share of ice crystals in the studied slurry ice ranged from 5% to 20%. The results of experimental studies confirmed that the simulations were correct.

https://doi.org/10.4467/2353737XCT.16.012.4976Many experimental high-energy installations, e.g. ITER (Cadarache), CERN (Geneva), SOLARIS (Krakow), require an ultra-high quality of vacuum. To meet these requirements, a vacuum void and its adjacent diagnostic systems are exposed to elevated temperatures (baking) after assembly to outgas all volatile surface contaminants. The baking temperature peaks as high as 250°C for up to 24 hours.
