Małgorzata Łuczyńska-Hołdys is an Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw, Poland. She has taught courses on Romantic and Victorian literature and on the relationship between literature and painting in the 19th century. She has published on William Blake, John Keats, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and the Pre-Raphaelites. Her main publications include Soft-Shed Kisses: Revisioning the Femme Fatale in English Poetry of the 19th Century (Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2013), “Life Exhaled in Milky Fondness: Becoming a Mother in William Blake’s The Book of Thel” (Blake/An Illustrated Quarterly, 2013), “For Where Thou Fliest I Shall Not Follow”: Memory and Poetic Song in Algernon Charles Swinburne’s ‘Itylus’” (The Journal of Pre-Raphaelite Studies, 2014), “The Experience of Female Embodiment in William Blake’s Visions of the Daughters of Albion” (Nordic Journal of English Studies, 2020) and the most recent book, The Written and the Visual: Representations of Women in English Nineteenth-Century Poetry and Art (Vandenhoeck und Ruprecht Verlage 2021).
