Edit Sápi is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Miskolc, Hungary. She teaches civil law, intellectual property law, and media law. In her research, she mostly focusses on intellectual property with special regard to copyright law. She has also prepared expert opinions for legal cases in the field of copyright law. She has written several scientific articles published both in Hungary and abroad. She defended her PhD on the copyright law of theatrical works and focusses on the moral rights of authors, theatrical copyright law, cultural and copyright law interconnections, copyright law of the visual arts, and the IP issues generated by artificial intelligence and new technologies. In her studies and lectures, she strives to address topics that present practical issues and problems with scientific relevance that can be utilized in both academic life and legal practice.
