Special attention was given to the following issues: relations within the peasant community, peasants’ participation in the village self-government and their attitude towards the clergy, as well as the matter of the social awareness, religiousness and customs and traditions of peasants. Of course, the study does not fully explore the problems, but it points at issues that need to be further examined within systematic research.   VL - 2017 IS - Issue 144 (1) PY - 2016 SN - 0083-4351 C1 - 2084-4069 SP - 101 EP - 118 DO - 10.4467/20844069PH.17.006.5866 UR - https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/prace-historyczne/article/zycie-spoleczne-chlopow-w-zachodniej-malopolsce-w-epoce-reform-agrarnych-na-przelomie-xviii-i-xix-w KW - western Lesser Poland KW - peasants KW - agrarian reforms
