At the time of Polands accession to the European Union, the process intensified due to the standards set by the EU. A similar action was taken by Estonia which joined the European Union at the same time as Poland. Over the years, there have been significant differences between these countries in the development of digital public administration. Estonia, in a relatively short period and with limited financial resources, has become one of the most digital countries in Europę.
