The author analyses the problem of the development of electoral law in the context of legal and state traditions in Ukraine. Pankevych concentrates his attention on the main problems of both the past and the current time frame in the sphere of developing traditions of the electivity of power in Ukraine. Relying on research into both historical-legal and modern Ukrainian experiences, as well as foreign examples, the author offers specific approaches to solving the problems mentioned. The monograph is of paramount importance for understanding the history of the establishment and development of electoral law in Ukraine and the evolution of traditions of the electivity of power.
