The study determined the theoretical basis for forming a hospitals’ network and the basis of the law/the act about “the hospitals’ network”. Results of the study showed that between hospitals there were considerable differences in the distribution of hospital beds within a given specialty. The authors recognize that it is necessary to restore well-defined reference levels with regard to specialized ambulatory care.
