As a result of progressive globalisation, new conditions are being created, among which the development and strengthening of economic and financial links between states and the development of strong transnational entities are of great importance. This, in turn, results in new tasks and possibilities for the public administration of individual states. Poland’s membership in the European Union and opportunity to participate in EU policies and use the funds from the common budget have become a special conditionality. The article attempts to assess the role of the structural funds as an instrument of the EU cohesion policy in modernising Polish public administration and defining the directions of their influence on this process. The author argues that the directions of the modernisation of public administration in Poland are coherent with the directions of intervention of European Union funds which are an important factor influencing the modernisation processes. However, the assessment of the impact of these activities (including the contribution of public funds) on the level of efficiency of the administration requires long-term observation and analysis. The theoretical framework of the work is provided by the concepts of Europeanisation and modernisation.}, doi = {10.4467/24497800RAP.18.008.9223}, url = {https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/rocznik-administracji-publicznej/article/fundusze-polityki-spojnosci-unii-europejskiej-jako-narzedzie-modernizacji-administracji-publicznej-w-polsce-kierunki-wplywu} }
