%X Tintagile’s death (1894) is an etape in the Maeterlinck’s work. This drama bears the strong imprint of a decisive évent in the life of the author : the discovery of the writings of the médieval Flemish mystic Ruysbroeck, of wich he became the translator from 1885 to 1888. The langage of mysti‐ cism allows a renowal of writing and dramatic aesthetics.
