How it occurs is demonstrated on the example of three short stories by three 20th century authors: Hedāyat, Āl-e Ahmad and Dānešvar. The stories are connected through their common motif of a mother abandoning her child; their mutual relationship is of a dialogical and partly also polemical character.   VL - 2016 IS - Volume 11, Issue 1 PY - 2016 SN - 1897-3035 C1 - 2084-3933 SP - 9 EP - 14 DO - 10.4467/20843933ST.16.002.4896 UR - https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/studia-litteraria-uic/article/literature-as-dialogue-on-the-example-of-three-short-stories-by-hedayat-al-e-ahmad-and-danesvar KW - Modern Persian fiction KW - intertextuality KW - common motifs KW - abandoned child.
