The subject of minorities in Serbia (in the area of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Sandžak, the Preševa Valley and the neighbouring communities) is the subject, raised by Polish researchers, and the scope of their research covers the period of the fi rst decade of the 21st century. The Republic of Serbia is a country, in which relations between minorities evolve not only on the formal and institutional level, but also in real life. The text aims to present the ethnic policy of Serbia in several theoretical aspects, towards selected minority groups, which are representative from the point of view of the presentation of the minority problem in the country.
