TY - JOUR TI - Post-Blackness as contemporary attempt to redefine black identity AU - Kargul, Magdalena TI - Post-Blackness as contemporary attempt to redefine black identity AB - This article explores the dynamic changes in ways of perceiving race and identity in the complex, post-modern African-American culture. Gathered under the name of “post-blackness,” some methods of an artistic representation of race were presented against the background of socio-political events of the last few years. The paper reconstructs the formations that allowed for the emergence of this term, such as black nationalism, womanism, as well as theories of race of the 1960’s and 1970’s.   VL - 2016 IS - Issue 4 (30) 2016 PY - 2017 SN - 1897-1962 C1 - 2084-395X SP - 127 EP - 149 DO - 10.4467/2084395XWI.16.033.6861 UR - https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/wieloglos/article/kategoria-post-blackness-jako-proba-wspolczesnej-redefinicji-czarnej-tozsamosci KW - race KW - Post-Blackness KW - black nationalism KW - identity
