It aims to show how the images of the war in Eastern Ukraine differ when the conflict is reported from the perspective of a Ukrainian native and a foreigner. The research material consists of the following literary reports: “Punkt zerowy” [“Point Zero”] by Artem Czech and “Wojna, która nas zmieniła” [“War That Changed Us”] by Paweł Pieniążek (both published in 2017). The aim of the study is to show how Ukrainian reports of the events of the war in Eastern Ukraine differ from that of a foreign war reporter from Poland. At times, Ukrainian reporting is much more emotionally charged than the one authored by a foreigner.
