	The problem of shaping public space is common topic of the many review, but the need to create such places in the countryside is rarely mentioned. The following work takes up the subject of public space on rural areas, more precisely in the area of the Jarocin Municipality in Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The methods leading to the shaping of such spaces are presented, as well as examples of where changes have contributed to the new definition of common areas. The analyzed area was identified for the types of public spaces in it, which allowed them to be assigned to selected categories (roads, streets, squares, natural landscapes, etc.). That allows to see trends in the development of public spaces.
