AB - The aim of the article is to analyze the concept of the truth value of propositions from the perspective of the interface between linguistics and logic. The author argues that the logical truth value is implicitly present in all propositions and can be formalized at the linguistic level as the expression: ‘I am convinced that it is true that x’. This formula ought not to be confused with natural language utterances; when made explicit, it represents an overcoded linguistic structure. Thus, logical truth value is treated as a neutral constituent of utterances and is contrasted with other types of proposition, isomorphically and non-isomorphically marked on utterances.
