So far, the archive has not yet been studied and analysed. The collection includes both original materials and copies of documents on the history of Łańcut and the region. The earliest of those come from 1369 (i.e. the date on the oldest known and existing document referencing these lands — the founding document of the Kraczkowa village), while the latest come from 1988 (i.e. the year of Edward Pelc’s death). In addition, the following matters are discussed:  – the biography of Edward Pelc (1905–1988); – his research interests and achievements, which have been included in the list of the author’s major publications, as well as his archive, which was donated to the City Public Library in Łańcut (52 folders in total) on 24 August 2015 by Edward Pelc’s daughter, Danuta Skrętna.  VL - 2018 IS - 119 PY - 2018 SN - 0066-6041 C1 - 2658-1264 SP - 349 EP - 360 UR - https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/archeion/article/archiwum-edwarda-pelca-1905-1988-w-zbiorach-specjalnych-i-regionalnych-miejskiej-biblioteki-publicznej-w-lancucie-zawierajace-materialy-pochodzace-z-lat-1369-1988-jego-rola-i-znaczenie-dla-poznania-dziejow-miasta-lancuta-i-regionu-lancuckiego KW - Edward Pelc (1905–1988) KW - Edward Pelc’s Archive KW - City Public Library in Łańcut
