It provides major historical phases of the evolution of Welsh law, such as the pre-Roman times, Roman times, the Anglo-Norman colonization of Wales, and, finally, the Welsh Wars of Independence of 1276–1277 and 1282–1283. Alongside investigating Welsh medieval law, the article gives insight into Wales’ complicated history and her relations with other countries such as Ireland and England.
