The process of knowledge acquisition is connected with the abilities of the human brain, while this organ goes through the atrophy phase due to aging (aging of the brain). One of the methods of counteracting this unfavourable process is lifelong learning. The idea of educating the elderly is currently at the centre of interest of many people and institutions, Universities of the Third Age among them. The search for innovation in this regard is one of the major challenges in senior policy.
