It was emphasized that by the end of World War I, these were confl icts mostly of an ethno-social nature. In the interwar period, they were just as important as the ethno-political conflicts on the territory of East Galicia and especially Volyn, which had been annexed to the Second Polish Republic. In the author’s judgment, the abovementioned requires a deeper unconventional approach to researching the reasons of the so called Volyn Tragedy of 1943–1944.
