He follows the course of individual military operations and describes Čapek’s position among army leaders. There are a lot of written records of this military expedition in contemporary chronicles that do not always seem to be reliable. Čapek played a big part during the expedition even after the arrival of the main Polish troops. The pinnacle of this military expedition was a six-week long siege of the town of Chojnice. To stand on the Baltic coast was a considerable experience and achievement for the Czech soldiers as well. The military expedition to the Baltic exerted a big influence on Čapek’s future career, particularly in view of his later decision to join the Polish army as a mercenary.}, doi = {10.4467/20844069PH.12.003.0772}, url = {https://ejournals.eu/en/journal/prace-historyczne/article/udzial-wojsk-husyckich-pod-dowodztwem-jana-capka-w-wyprawie-przeciw-zakonowi-krzyzackiemu-w-1433-roku} }
