The first part of this article discusses the ways in which psychotherapy is shown in films. In a large part of them, psychotherapy is presented in a simplistic way, full of stereotypes and far from real facts. This can result in the development of unrealistic images of psychotherapy and even stigmatization. The second part is an analysis of Paweł Lozinski’s film “You have no idea how much I love you” in the context of psychotherapeutical techniques related to systemic therapies and also a therapeutic relationship. The film shows the psychotherapy in a realistic way and thus can play an important role in taming viewers with this specific form of psychological help.
