abstract = {In this paper the author attempts to present the ethnic composition of the garrison of the Przemyśl Fortress between September 1914 and March 1915, among others based on statistical data of the whole monarchy and the ethnic makeup in the areas where military units fighting in Przemyśl were mobilized. The statistics have been supplemented with information from Austrian and Hungarian press (mainly from 1914–1915), diaries and memoirs as well as relevant literature.},
