AB - Medical registers in Poland have a number of different functions, including monitoring the health status of the population, aiding scientific activities, assessing the effectiveness and quality of treatment, helping make informed clinical decisions clinical decisions, and providing data for medical resource planning. The Law on Quality in Healthcare and Patient Safety points to the use of information and communication technology (ICT) systems in operational and administrative terms of a central nature. One may question whether the lawmakers have indicated the principles of the internal quality and safety management system and whether the system should have the characteristics of an IT system. The data contained in medical registers are an actual reflection of the clinical practice conducted by specialized medical staff, and their primary advantage is the lack of exclusion of any patient groups.
