abstract = {This work aims to show the least recognized, so far, aspect related to the scientific activity of the outstanding Kraków archivist, scientist and historian, Professor Marian Friedberg – his involvement in the field of education. Based on the scientific legacy of M. Friedberg kept in the National Archives in Kraków, it was possible to trace his involvement in education, with the source base supplemented by materials collected in the Archives of Jagiellonian University and printed lists of lectures given at the same university. Analysis of the preserved archival materials made it possible to discuss the Professor’s involvement in lectures addressed to students of Jagiellonian University and those for archivists, as well as in the organization of editing courses prepared by the archives in Kraków. M. Friedberg gave a number of academic lectures, with topics focused on various issues included in the auxiliary sciences of history and archiving. M. Friedberg’s contribution to the education of future archivists is discussed separately.},
