It was also to determine the relationship of these variables with the Jennifer J. Senior’s concept of difficulties experienced in motherhood and parental burnout. The author’s Questionnaire of the Perceived Responsibility for the Child, the 2nd ver. of the „All Joy and No Fun” Questionnaire and The Parental Burnout Assessment (Polish version) were used. The study involved 99 mothers (aged 20–51; M = 33; SD = 6) of at least one child aged 1–10. A particularly high sense of parental responsibility of mothers was noted. The difference in the mother’s sense of parental responsibility and the responsibility attributed to the father correlated positively with both the difficulties experienced in motherhood and the symptoms of parental burnout.
