abstract = {The article is a dissertation on the thoughts, views and methodology of Friedrich Froebel, perceived anew and practiced in the educational reality of the 21st century. The issue was developed on the basis of a review of pedagogical literature, theoretical approaches and methodological proposals, described both by the first and contemporary promoters of Froebel’s pedagogical ideas. The past and the present became the areas of analysis: Froebel’s pedagogical biography, the vision of the child, the role of the teacher, the understanding of upbringing, the importance of play, the use of teaching gifts set, the essence of education. The text ends with the conclusion that the pedagogy and Froebelian practice in Poland is well developed conceptually and broadly in the didactic and methodological sense.},
