AB - The paper seeks to present the history of the learned society, which was established in the early 20th century, or, precisely, the Law Society in Lublin. It describes the conditions in which the society was founded in 1915, its statutory goals and the first years of activity. At the beginning it emphasized patriotic education and activity, later (after Poland regained independence) it focused on raising the level of legal knowledge by running a library, delivering lectures and cooperating with other organizations.
