The occupation of Lublin, and, more broadly, of the Lublin province by the Red Army brought about crucial and significant events in the organization of the life of Polish society in this area. The beginning of rule by the new, Moscow-installed Communist authorities was a harbinger of the end (for many years ) of the Poles’ dreams of a free Homeland.
