%X The research problem that the text deals with is the education policy of the European Union. The article seeks to answer the question whether the EU has its own education policy, and if so, what is it expressed through. Another group of issues is the relationship between the education policies of the national states and actions undertaken by the EU institutions. Another area of analysis relates to the specific problems and EU policy initiatives in the field of education and training, and relating to: socio-economic changes and the europeanisation processes. The methodological basis is the desk research method, institutional analysis and the content analysis of EU documents/legal acts, as well as the context analysis of such public policies. The article uses the concepts of political science and European studies, as well as the notion of public policy – educational policy. The main conclusion of this research is the realisation that the EU has its own educational policy, which focuses on the socio-political goals and values, as well as on ecological and technological transformation.
